A unique business model and a call for help… Three Aussie guys decided to go out and produce their own wines and bring them directly to the masses. What makes these guys different is that they own their own vineyards in New Zealand, make the wine in their own winery and distribute the wine themselves. So their customers get their wine direct from the source which allows them to deliver their high quality wine at great prices.
The FMStudio were approached to solve their sales and fulfillment problem. With a diverse and highly mobile sales team operating across the various states & territories of Australia, their was a need to provide them with the technology to enable them to quickly and easily take orders from their clients. Having done so, the system would generate purchase orders, sales invoices and delivery dockets and send them in an email to their regional warehouse hubs for fullfilment and despatch – all before leaving their clients premises…
The answer was to develop a centralised system in FileMaker Pro, hosted on the FMStudios’ dedicated FileMaker Servers in Sydney and accessed by the sales teams iPhone & iPad devices using FileMaker Go. Importantly, the system was designed to recognise the type of device the user was accessing the system from and display the relevant interface to interact with the system from that device. This included iPhone and iPad devices, laptop and desktop computers.
